本作のリンクは初めて「右利き」という設定になっています。
これは、Wiiがリモコンを実際に振ってゲームを進めるという特性があり、
利用するプレイヤーの大多数は右利き（人間は右利きが多い）となることからリンクも右利きになったようです。

なお、オンライン限定発売のGC版リンクは従来どおり「左利き」であり、
Wii版とGC版の世界は鏡に映ったように全てが逆の関係にある設定になっています。
